The new president of the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV) is Yvonne van der Meer, professor at Maastricht University in Sustainability of Chemicals and Materials. Yvonne is also the scientific vice-director at the cross border knowledge institute Aachen Maastricht Institute biobased Materials (AMIBM). She was instrumental in developing this knowledge institute, located on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen (NL) and in Germany, to around 100 employees over the past six years.
