On Tuesday 26 November, MECC Maastricht and KCI Publishing, the exhibition organizer of Stainless Steel World, signed the contract for the next two editions of Stainless Steel World in 2021 and 2023. This renowned event is taking place at MECC Maastricht this week, from 26 to 28 November 2019. Maastricht is the European host city for more than 7,000 visitors and more than 300 exhibitors. Stainless Steel World is the most important biannual meeting for the worldwide stainless steel industry, where experts and stakeholders from the technical landscape and the supply chain come together. The international trade fair is an absolute must for anyone involved in the production and application of a wide range of corrosion-resistant alloys from the main industries and for everyone who wants to stay up to date with the latest developments, technologies, and trends.
Maastricht as European host city
Maastricht and MECC Maastricht have been chosen by KCI Publishing as the central location in Europe for Stainless Steel World for many years now. Elisa Hannan, Director of KCI Publishing: “The size of MECC Maastricht is ideal for organizing a trade fair and congress simultaneously. Here valuable relations develop between our international participants. The location in the heart of Europe, with Germany and Belgium just a stone’s throw away, makes it possible to easily reach these markets. Decisive in our choice for MECC Maastricht is the professionalism and flexibility of its employees. You just know that you are in good hands and that everything is being taken care of. Both for us and our participants, MECC Maastricht always feels like coming home.” International conferences and trade fairs such as Stainless Steel World are of great value for MECC Maastricht and for the city of Maastricht and its surrounding area. The economic spin-off is huge and of great importance for the further development and positioning of Maastricht and the region as an international knowledge region.
Jurgen Moors, Managing Director, Maastricht Convention Bureau: “The Stainless Steel Conference & Exhibition is renowned as the foremost biannual gathering of the global stainless steel community. We are very proud that the Stainless Steel World Conference & Expo will return to Maastricht in 2021 and 2023.”

Machining World and Hose & Coupling World
Parallel to Stainless Steel World, two related international exhibitions are also taking place at MECC Maastricht this year. A completely new brand that will resonate in the stainless steel sector is the new Machining World trade fair, a three-day international exhibition dedicated to manufacturers, sellers and users of CNC equipment, processing benches and other tools and equipment for steel processing. With around 25 companies, this specialized section offers practical experience with live demonstrations. With the addition of Hose & Coupling World, participants gain insight into the latest technologies, materials, and systems in the field of industrial and hydraulic hoses, couplings and related products.
Stainless Steel is a production of KCI Publishing, a technology-driven, independent media and information group. The company is the market leader in processing and supplying technical information with great added value for worldwide data transport control, stainless steel and pump communities in the processing industry. KCI is active in more than 80 countries worldwide. On Tuesday 26 November KCI, together with its exhibitors and visitors, celebrated its 30th anniversary in Maastricht. A festive moment, which was combined with the signing of the contract for the next two editions of Stainless Steel World in Maastricht in 2021 and 2023.
