Every two years the Pain Science in Motion congress is organised to increase awareness on the relevance of pain. Professor Rob Smeets of Universiteit Maastricht and the department of Rehabilitation Medicine played a key role in recruiting this conference to Maastricht last summer. A warm welcome for the conference delegates was provided for by the Municipality of Maastricht, opening the doors of the historic City Hall for an opening reception.
