Looking back at the successful Meet the Stars fam trip event in Maastricht puts a big smile on our faces. Meet the Stars gave twelve international conference organizers the opportunity to learn more about the city of Maastricht, the region and the newly renovated MECC. The perfect spring weather made it easy for us to present Maastricht in its best light; the contribution from our valued partners was essential, and highly appreciated by the participants.
Maastricht won a place in their hearts, and they couldn’t find enough superlatives to put their experience in Maastricht into words. “Fantastic, sustainable, friendly, so much value for your money, European, compact, a 5-star experience and a city to truly love!” Several participants even put their words into action by asking for requests for proposals (RFP), and the first conference scheduled for after the summer of 2022 has already been confirmed (European Association of Neurosurgical Societies).

Members of the international press were there to report on the event, including the association magazine Boardroom, which published a nice article on the event. Read more here (p. 46-47). Event influencer Sina Bunte (ICCA) was also there because of her enormous network of over 4,000 followers that includes international associations and event planners. Sina was given a tour of the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus and the Brightlands Chemelot Campus to experience the diversity of knowledge institutes in Health and Chemistry in this region.
