Now featuring in ‘A word from the Expert’ is Dr. Peyman Sardari Nia. He is a Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Maastricht University Medical Center, The Netherlands, where he specializes in minimally invasive cardiothoracic surgery. He is also the leader and initiator of the mitral valve program in Maastricht. Dr. Sardari Nia is actively involved in the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) and founder and director of the EACTS courses in minimally invasive techniques for adult cardiac surgery and endoscopic mitral valve repair.
