In the city of Maastricht the ET Pathfinder has been established. This is a test facility for the Einstein Telescope, which may be built in this region in the next few years. The Telescope will be a measuring instrument to detect gravitational waves. This will allow a thousand times more observations than current telescopes and can even measure waves from the beginning of the universe.
