Advanced Photonics Congress 2022

We recently held our conference in the newly renovated MECC and it was outstanding. This was the first time this conference has met in person since the pandemic and everyone had very positive things to say about the venue. They loved how open the space was and the overall layout of the rooms was perfect for hosting our program. The staff was also fantastic. From the early pre-conference planning to the onsite execution, everyone was great to work with. MECC also helped with arranging complimentary bus transportation to and from the center which was very much appreciated by our attendees. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend anyone looking for a venue in Europe to consider the MECC.

Intersteno 2022

From the first contact in 2019 till the end of the 53rd Intersteno congress in August 2022, the Maastricht Convention Bureau was at our side, thinking along, adding concrete suggestions and valuable support on different levels. Their assistance didn’t stop after we decided on Maastricht but continued smoothly and effectively. Even during the covid period that forced us to reschedule our congress twice. The final result: a more than successful congress in one of the most charming cities I learned to know: Maastricht!

Site visit EANS Courses

In Maastricht, on behalf of the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, we have been hosted by the Convention Bureau of Maastricht and the MECC team, to see the new building of the renovated MECC and to discover possibilities in the region for our congresses and events. The Convention Bureau has done a fantastic job to host us, to prepare this visit and to showcase what is possible and available in the region. We are ‘living’ the city, truly excited, truly inspired and we want to send a big warm and warm thank you for the great work of the local team.

European Vascular Courses

For more than 13 years MECC Maastricht has been our trusted venue. With the new building and upgrade we now have even more fantastic opportunities to showcase the European Vascular Courses (EVC) to the maximum. There are very few convention centers in the world with such a perfect infrastructure where EVC can host hundreds of workshops. And all this in the beautiful city of Maastricht where our thousands of participants love to come every year!

9th World Congress of the International Association for Women's Mental Health

The International Association for Women's Mental Health recently held our 9th World Congress that brings delegates from every continent. The quality and layout of the meeting space in the MECC was outstanding. The Auditorium was perfect for our plenary and large symposia. The breakout rooms on the lower level allowed us our largest number of concurrent parallel sessions (9) in a configuration that allowed movement easily within the space. The foyer was the perfect networking space for posters and networking events including coffee breaks, lunch (attendee paid) and receptions. The NH Hotel next door to the MECC made it easy for delegates to stay nearby or to choose lovely, unique hotels in the city center. We would recommend this venue and city for any international Congress.
