Kasteel De Hoogenweerth is located on a peninsula in Maastricht alongside the river Maas. The castle is surrounded by a very large and beautiful garden.

Unique about the venue is that guests rent the complete domain for their event. In this way, complete privacy is guaranteed.

The local authorities granted us with the title “official wedding location”. The wedding ceremony can be held at the domain.

Maximum capacity of Kasteel De Hoogenweerth is 357 people. It is possible to extend this capacity by placing large tents in front of and behind the castle. In this way we can welcome even bigger groups.

For accommodations you can also visit De Hoogenweerth Suites. This hotel is situated in the former coach house of the castle. The hotel has seven beautiful design suites in which 28 guests can enjoy the peace and comfort we offer. The suites are fully equipped.  Flatscreen television with DVD player, excellent wireless internet connection, Nespresso and tea facilities are some of the standard features of our luxurious suites. From the suites you have a beautiful view on the castle domain and the harbour.  Next to the hotel building you will find an excellent restaurant called “SOFA”.

Description of the halls in the castle
The castle has two large and tastefully decorated rooms and a bar area. The lounge area in front of the castle is situated on the terrace and has a beautiful view on the river. Behind the castle there is a walled garden.

All rooms have big windows.

The rooms in the castle are perfect for wedding parties, luxury corporate parties, promotional events, receptions, presentations and meetings.

There is a large and free parking lot with a capacity of 750 cars.

Free of catering (we have a list of preferred caterers). 

Location
Located next to County Hall (in which in 1992 the Euro was invented), within a stone throw from the MECC (Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre) and only 5 minutes from the A2 and the city centre of Maastricht.

The domain is very accessible, near exit 55 and 56 (MECC Maastricht) with clear signs that directs you and your guests towards the castle.
