BEAUMONT hotel

The Beaumont Hotel is located in a landmark building in the elegant Wyck district in the centre of Maastricht. The hotel has been owned and managed by the Beaumont family since 1912 on this location. 

The design by the British architect David Chipperfield, is modern, honouring the typical characteristics of the building and with respects to its past. This is represented by the many original ceilings in combination with the contemporary minimalistic design.  

Under the inspiring guidance of three generations and the current owner Harrie Beaumont, the company has developed into a modern hotel with 121 rooms, several conference and banquet facilities and a restaurant.

Hospitality and personal service has been the main focus for almost a hundred years in this family run hotel and restaurant.

The cuisine under the guidance of Chef the Cuisine, Audrey Eussen is international with respect for tradition and a focus on organic and local produce. This is complimented with almost a hundred years of experience in service and hospitality. 
The Beaumont Restaurant is a member of Maastricht Culinair, a partnership of the finest restaurant of Maastricht.

The BBox
Located in the centre of Maastricht, The BBox is the ideal place for thinking outside the box. In the centre of the room participants get together at a massive wooden table in shaped like a horseshoe. When you set foot on the Liquid Floor in front of the table, white and grey swirling patterns appear. When the assemble is being split up or is in need of a brain-break during a session, the moderator can change the colors and the patterns on the wall with one click, thus subtly changing the scene and gently leading the assemble to the luxurious lounge area or bar. The perfectly divided acoustics make the sound of any audio equipment flawless all around The BBox.
By using this advanced technology, up to 15 people, whether or not under the supervision of a moderator, can make an important decision fast and effectively in one day in The BBox. High-tech HD videoconferencing makes it possible to meet live with 4 different parties, all over the world. Another party can also join in per teleconferencing. With the interactive voting system it is possible to find out fast and anonymously how the collective conscience of an assemble stands on a certain topic. The traditional flip-chart in The BBox has been provided with a digital exterior; with the help of a special pen, participants can write down discussion points, propositions or mind maps on a HD-screen. The stylized and design Bose Cube speakers make it possible to emphasize certain moments during a session by playing custom made jingles. The space is completely LED-lit and is facilitated with an intelligent C02-regulated climate system, which results to the temperature being agreeable at all times.

Let's Count Down

A 100 years of history, April 1st 2012  

It’s April first 1912 when Willem Beaumont, grandfather of the current owner, takes over corner café Swelsen and expands it to a hotel and restaurant with 12 rooms. He gave the hotel the family name and the Beaumont Hotel and Restaurant was born. In that time the rate per person for a room including ‘warm and cold water’ and breakfast with bacon and eggs was 1 guilder 25 cents (equivalent to 60 Euro cents).

Starting from the first of April 2011 we are counting down to 100 years of Beaumont on  April 1st 2012 with several activities.
