The BBox in Maastricht: an inspiring meeting concept for mobilising creativity and result-oriented decision making.

The need for spaces of physical gatherings is changing. The emotional aspects, the experience and the virtual support have to blend together into ONE functional unit. By using this advanced technology, up to 15 people, whether or not under the supervision of a moderator, can make an important decision fast and effectively in one day in The BBox.
High-tech HD videoconferencing makes it possible to meet live with 4 different parties, all over the world. Another party can also join in per teleconferencing. With the interactive voting system it is possible to find out fast and anonymously how the collective conscience of an assemble stands on a certain topic. The traditional flip-chart in The BBox has been provided with a digital exterior; with the help of a special pen, participants can write down discussion points, propositions or mind maps on a HD-screen. The stylized and design Bose Cube speakers make it possible to emphasize certain moments during a session by playing custom made jingles. The space is completely LED-lit and is facilitated with an intelligent C02-regulated climate system, which results to the temperature being agreeable at all times.

Inspiring meeting concept
Located in the centre of Maastricht, The BBox is the ideal place for thinking ‘outside the box’. In the centre of the room participants get together at a massive wooden table in shaped like a horseshoe. When you set foot on the Liquid Floor in front of the table, white and grey swirling patterns appear. When the assemble is being split up or is in need of a 'brain-break’ during a session, the moderator can change the colours and the patterns on the wall with one click, thus subtly changing the scene and gently leading the assemble to the luxurious lounge area or bar. The perfectly divided acoustics make the sound of any audio equipment flawless all around The BBox. 

Result-oriented sessions
Depending on the results participants want to achieve, there are several session formats that can be used in The BBox. With each session you have the possibility to be accompanied by a specially trained BBox-moderator. There are a number of sessions available at The BBOX:

Vote & decide: with the interactive voting system (IVS), participants are able to assess statements or rank ideas and actively participate in finding a solution together as a whole. This session focuses on coming up with ideas and assessing them together, for example when appointing a new board member or director. Take the time to create new ideas in an inspiring environment making use of state-of-the-art collaboration technology: smart board, videoconference, internet and more. Play games on the Wii, drink a cup of coffee during a ‘brain-break’. The interactive voting system enables participants to assess and enrich ideas to come up with solutions.

Discussions & results: is aimed to collectively get an inside point of view on a topic. The surroundings guarantee maximum concentration and relaxation when reorganizing or budgeting.

Creativity and exploration: this session is perfect for unravelling difficult issues by coming up with new tactics together.

Videoconference & teleconference: focuses on intense debate by interacting with interlocutors all over the world through HD-videoconferencing. Do you wish to confer face-to-face with other people who are at a remote location? And prepare the online meeting with your colleagues before you start videoconferencing? Would you also want to have others join in? Or forward files and other information to the participants?  The BBox is the place to be for online collaboration, tele and video conferencing anytime and anywhere. You can use all tools present to achieve maximum interaction: a laptop for presentations, LCD screens, smart board, Polycom HD-videoconference, etc.

Besides the above mentioned sessions, The BBox can also be used for, among other things, conferences, product presentations or television recordings.
