International autumn visit Maastricht Convention Bureau great success

In Maastricht, twenty-two people were laughing, enthusiastic and enjoying the sun last weekend. They were Dutch, Belgian, German and British guests of the Maastricht Convention Bureau (MCB). On October 10th and 11th, the MCB made sure, organisers of Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events (MICE meetings) got acquainted with several meeting, party and dinner venues, as well as other organisations and possibilities of the city and surrounding area. Without exception, the guests were all very amazed. The MCB is a foundation of several companies and service organisations from the MICE industry of Maastricht and surrounding area. Their purpose is to promote Maastricht and surrounding area as a destination for business meetings, and to let as many MICE organisers have their meetings in this region as possible. Therefore, the MCB, together with its partners, organises site visits for convention, meeting and incentive organisers. During a two day visit, guests get acquainted with the city, its surroundings and the variety of MICE organisations and venues. “Thanks to such a site visit we are really able to show our guests the variety in possibilities which Maastricht and surrounding area have to offer,” says Sonja Speth, Sales Manager Conventions of the MCB. “This time our guests again were very enthusiastic and surprised about the variety in venues. Caves, an ultra modern congress centre, hotels in different styles and classifications, too much to mention. People are amazed that Maastricht and surrounding area really has something for everyone.
