The Maastricht Convention Bureau will be informing planners in The Netherlands about Maastricht as a destination for meetings and incentives. They will do this from Monday the 30th of January until Friday the 3th of February. Judith Nijssen, Sales Manager Meetings and Incentives will visit together  with 15 representatives of Maastricht and region up to 23 companies.

Shops in the city centre of Maastricht are open from 12.00-17.00/18.00 hours today.

From the 19th of February until the 21st of February 2012 Carnival in Maastricht will be celebrated, also known as “Vasteloavend in Mestreech”. During this three day festival all people forget their boundaries and the city centre of Maastricht is filled with thousands costumed people.

This year TEFAF celebrates its 25th anniversary! From the 16th till the 25th of March TEFAF 2012 will take place at MECC Maastricht. During TEFAF you will see an outstanding event, one that offers you the possibility to see the best art.

The world’s leading art and antiques fair Tefaf, which takes place for the 25th time in conference centre MECC Maastricht in from 16-25 March 2012, will celebrate this jubilee with several activities.

On Friday the 23 rd and Saturday 24th  of March,  the "Jazz Maastricht Masters festival"  will have its 10th edition in "Theater aan het Vrijthof". With about 2000 visitors you can call this the most intimate jazzfestival of The Netherlands.

From the 28th until the 30th of March 2012 the fourth IMUKA conference, organised in cooperation with Pauwels Congress Organisers, will take place in MECC Maastricht. The conference offers a balanced scientific programme with interesting and attractive topics and invited speakers.

The Networked Learning Conference is an international, research-based conference. Since its inception in 1998 the conference has developed a strong following by international researchers. In addition it is well supported by practitioners, managers and learning technologists interested in contributing to and hearing about research in this area. The conference, held in Maastricht School of Management, is considered a major event in the international 'technology enhanced learning' conference circuit.

Held at the MECC in Maastricht, where The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet, UTECH Europe 2012 is uniquely placed as the ONLY truly international event for this market. In 2009 UTECH attracted an audience of just under 3,000 decision makers from 85 countries, and with the upturn in market conditions we expect UTECH Europe 2012 to be bigger and busier than ever.

From April 17th till 20th 2012, Maastricht will be host-city for about 750 participants of the European Energy Conference (E2C), that will be held in MECC Maastricht. This success once again came from intensive cooperation between MECC Maastricht, other participants and the Maastricht Convention Bureau.

Organising a local Model United Nations conference has always been a central concept behind UNSA (United Nations Student Association Maastricht). This is achieved through the organising of EuroMUN 2012, the 5th edition of an already prestigious conference, which will be held in MECC Maastricht.

From Friday the 25th of May until Monday the 28th of May you can enjoy contemporary art, design, sound and new media art forms in the city center of Maastricht & surrounding area during the KunstTour (ArtTour) 2012. More than 200 artists will exhibit their work across 60 locations, such as artistic breeding grounds, galleries, studios and art institutions.

On June 8,9 and 10th the What Women Want Conference will be held for the first time in MECC Maastricht, The Netherlands. The fair organisation WorldRoyal thinks to know the answer to this question, at least when it comes to luxury goods, wellness, fashion and so on.

The European Psychiatric Association (EPA) section Epidemiology together with the European Network of Schizophrenia Networks for the Study of Gene-envirome Interactions (EU-GEI) proudly present their 2012 joint conference on the environment and mental health. The conference will take place from the 13th until the 16th of June 2012 in the Maastricht School of Management.

The International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and the International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers (IFU) the organizers proudly announce the 10th International Vaccinium & Other Superfruits Symposium and Exhibition to be held June 17-22, 2012 in the Maastricht Exhibition & Congress Centre (MECC Maastricht) and is organised by Pauwels Congress Organisers.

André Rieu is back in town! His popular summer evening concerts will again be at the most beautiful  square of Maastricht ‘het Vrijthof’, in his hometown. The square will  be transformed into a open air temple of music. André Rieu is flying over from Brazil especially for these concerts.

The 13th Conference of the International Society for Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics (ISVEE XIII) will be held from 20-24 August 2012 in MECC Maastricht, close to the border of the Netherlands and Belgium.

From Saturday the 15th of September 2012 till Sunday the 23rd of September 2012 the World Championship road cycling will take place in the heart of Europe. The World Championship is an annual road cycling competition and will be held in a different country each year.

From the 24th of September till the 28th of September 2012 the 30th International Congress of Genealogy and Heraldry Sciences will be held in Maastricht. Together with the Central Bureau for Genealogy, the Dutch Genealogical Society has succeded to bring the conference to the Netherlands.
